It was a lovely September afternoon at 47 women gathered at Kitty Ko on the sixth floor of the Lalit Ashok Bengaluru for eShe’s Shine Your Light, our personal-growth workshops for women.
It was an action-packed agenda as they danced, meditated, learnt, networked, ate a lavish feast, and took inspiration from each other!
Here’s a peek at the event!
It all began with the chief guest speaker, Olympian swimmer Nisha Millet, who shared her life journey and challenges with the participants.
Next up, we had an exciting belly dancing class with Anusha Hegde of Tarantismo Creative Dance Academy. She showed participants the basics of shimmy, twist, and upper body movement. Though they were inhibited initially, the women had a super-fun time by the end of it!
This was followed by a hydration break! When the participants returned from coffee, snacks and networking, they had an awesome session in public speaking and effective communication by soft skills coach Kavitha Garla.
She also conducted an exercise in group discussion and invited a few participants to come on stage and practise their public-speaking skills.
Next up was a soothing, deep meditation session by energy coach Riitu S Bahri. The audience was taken into a quiet space inside them, and each one felt relaxed, rejuvenated and peaceful inside themselves by the end of it.
After the meditation was an informative session on how food affects our mood by eShe business director and food blogger Kaveri Jain. She talked about why we mustn’t resist cravings, and instead substitute unhealthy foods for healthier ones.
Finally, eShe’s founder editor Aekta Kapoor led the group in an activity called ‘Touch of Love’, where participants paired up and shared loving affirmations with one another. This was followed by a happy hugging session.
This was followed by a lavish buffet lunch hosted by Kitty Ko, the Lalit Ashok Bangalore, and of course, lots of photo shoots!
The participants all got goodie bags with gifts sponsored by Rareism, Soapery and Cute Jute.
