The morning dawned sunny and bright, the perfect day for eShe’s debut personal-growth workshop for women, ‘Shine Your Light’.
Held at a private residence in New Delhi’s Vasant Vihar, the joyful event took place on January 12, from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. It was an action-packed morning with five modules, all designed for learning, self-growth and introspection.
The first session, conducted by Ruchi Thaker, a sound healer and movement therapist, took participants through meditation, playfulness, peace and dance.

The second session, conducted by eShe founder and editor Aekta Kapoor, invited participants to ‘welcome obstacles’ in their lives.

The coffee break was followed by a session by financial advisor and founder of Mirr Investments Namrata B Durgan, who inspired the participants to take ownership of their money, and to invest regularly so that they have sizeable savings later on.

The fourth session was conducted by Dr Megha Dhillon, a psychology professor at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She had the audience fill out questionnaires to measure their ‘self-compassion’ levels, which led to much animated discussion and debate.

The final session ‘Share the Wisdom’, conducted by Kaveri Jain, required each participant to introduce themselves and share wisdom from something they are really gifted at, or a professional or personal tip. They were given exactly two minutes to speak, and had to stop the moment Kaveri’s bell went off!

At the end, the hostess Chandni Bedi led all the ladies to the dining room where they could all enjoy a delicious homemade meal together (Chandni’s cooking is really to-die-for, and her mother-in-law Mina Bedi’s gracious spirit and shining light just draws everyone in).
The participants left with goodie bags filled with gifts from Plant Pure, Mean Bean Co, Chocazure, and of course eShe.

Here’s to many more meaningful moments of value creation and self-love ahead! Are you ‘Shining Your Light’?
